Cape Town - New Golden Arrows defender Limbikani Mzava believes he did not disappoint Orlando Pirates fans by not joining them during the off-season despite constant links to the Soweto giants.
Abafana Bes'thende coach Clinton Larsen managed to snatch the signature of the much sought-after Malawian ahead of several other suitors.
This was due to his previous relationship with the player at Bloemfontein Celtic, before Mzava left for the now defunct Mpumalanga Black Aces 12 months ago.
Many fans of the Buccaneers expected the 22-year-old star to follow his coach from last season, Muhsin Ertugral, to Orlando, but he opted otherwise.
"No, I didn't disappoint them," Mzava told Vodacom Soccer.
"Even as I'm here, they (the fans) can still come to see me play here and if they still want me in the future, then anything can happen.
"Having said that, I'm not disappointed myself to be here. It's a good club and I have a good relationship with the coach, so I'm looking forward to it.
"Perhaps one day I will end up there (at Pirates)."
