No chance of me resigning - Tinkler

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has vowed not to quit the Soweto giants, despite being under pressure following a string of poor results.

Tinkler would have hoped for a better start to 2016, with Pirates in the bottom half of the table with 12 points from 11 games after being held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Platinum Stars at a wet Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

Tinker will now look to steer Pirates to their first win in six games against University of Pretoria on Wednesday, and remained defiant over his position at the club.

"I never said I was going to discuss my future at the club with the chairman," Tinkler told KickOff.

"I did say that I was going to have a meeting with the chairman, but that was not based on my future at the club.

"I am not a quitter, I have said that in the press before. There is no chance of me resigning."
