Nkosi backs Chiefs' quest for silverware

Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs playmaker Siyabonga Nkosi believes the newly constructed squad has enough quality to challenge for silverware next season.

As part of their rebuilding process, Amakhosi announced eight new signings earlier in the month.

Nkosi opined that a big club like Chiefs needs to win something next season to appease the supporters.

"If you look at the squad that they have you can see that they will have the chance to bounce back from last season's disappointing performance," Nkosi told Soccer Laduma.

"Everyone at the club knows how important it is for the team to bounce back and win silverware this season.

"They have a good squad with a mixture of youth and experience which is good for any team."
