Cape Town - Sherwin Naicker is eager for a transfer to a Premiership club after Jomo Cosmos were relegated from the South African topflight last season.
Speaking to Goal.com website, the former SuperSport United development product said that he is keen to find a new team in the Premiership, despite having not received any formal offers for his services yet.
"That's the goal for me at the moment. To find a team in the Premier League. I don't want to go back down to the NFD," he said.
"Hopefully my performances throughout the past season were good enough that they would able for someone to now come and want my services."
Naicker produced some eye-catching performances last season, most notably in the 1-0 victories against Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, in which Naicker was awarded the Man of the Match awards in both fixtures.
"I'm sad. I mean I came up with Cosmos so it is sad to see them go back down again. I know how hard it was to get the team into the PSL." he added.
"So despite a few good performances of a few individual players, the team at the end of the day was more important and it is quite sad that they unfortunately went down again."
