Mutizwa hands Golden Arrows victory

Cape Town - Golden Arrows overcame Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 in an Absa Premiership game at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

As a result Abafana Bes'thende climbed up to fifth spot on the league table, while Siwelele stay 13th on the standings.

Although Celtic had the best chances in the first-half, but Arrows goalkeeper Nkosingiphile Gumede was in top form denying Siwelele to ensure that the first-half ended goalless.

It took only nine minutes for Abafana Bes'thende to take the lead in the second-half through Nkayiso Cele, who scored with a good finish to make it 1-0 to Arrows.

However, Mpho Maruping had other ideas as the Celtic midfielder restored parity for the visitors a minute after the hour-mark.

Arrows then pushed forward in numbers in search of another goal. Andile Fikizolo was pulled out in the 64th minute and striker Lerato Lamola came on.

Knox Mutizwa scored what proved to be the winning goal for Arrows a minute later with a great header and Abafana Bes'thende held on to win 2-1 on the day.
