Cape Town - Orlando Pirates are expected to recall Zimbabwean midfield enforcer Marshall Munetsi from his loan spell at Baroka FC, according to a report.
The towering Zimbabwean is said to be held in high regard with the Buccaneers after earning a sterling recommendation from club legend Augusto Palacios upon signing from the FC Cape Town.
However, with a lack of top-flight experience, the 21-year-old was sent out to the newly promoted side and played 26 league matches last season, netting two goals.
It had been expected that Munetsi was to renew his loan arrangement with Bakgaga this season in order to continue his development with Kgokolo Thobejane's side but according to KickOff website, the Soweto Giants have decided to recall the combative former African Beasts midfielder.
The publication also quoted Baroka CEO Morgan Mammila as confirming Munetsi's return; "Yes, it’s true, Munetsi went back to Pirates."
Standing a 1.87m in height, the box-to-box midfielder has often been compared to Ivory Coast legend Yaya Toure for his dominating presence in midfield.
