MTN8 quarter-final details confirmed

Cape Town - The details of the venues, dates and times of the MTN8 quarter-finals have been confirmed.

The confirmation of the details of the draw were announced on Wednesday at a function hosted by the Absa Premiership and sponsors MTN.

It was also confirmed at the event that the title-sponsors would renew their deal for the competition for a further five years.

The opening game will see Kaizer Chiefs face Cape Town City FC on August 26 at Cape Town Stadium - the action gets underway from 20:00.

In the second quarter-final, Platinum Stars take on Chippa United at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium at 15:00 on August 27. 

Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are the most successful sides in the competition's eight-year history, having won two MTN8 titles each.
