Mphahlele: Chiefs know how to win

Cape Town - Speaking ahead of next month's Telkom Knockout final, Mamelodi Sundowns captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele admits Premiership rivals Kaizer Chiefs are proven winners.

The two powerhouses of South African football will do battle for cup honours at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on December 16 and Mphahlele believes Chiefs' poor form heading into the final will count for nothing on the day.

"Chiefs have won the Telkom Knockout cup more than any other team in South Africa, so they know how to win cups," Mphahlele told KickOff.

"Come the 16th, I think whichever team takes their chances will come out victorious. Obviously we are happy that we are in the final.

"It's been a long time since we've been in a Telkom Final so we are looking forward to the game.

"Playing against Kaizer Chiefs - who for me is one of the biggest teams in South Africa - they are playing well and they are very organised."

Kick-off is at 18:00.
