Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns owner Patrice Motsepe says he would like current head coach Pitso Mosimane to emulate Sir Alex Ferguson at the club.
Ferguson, who is one of the most decorated football managers, remained at Manchester United for 26-years and won many trophies for the Premier League giants.
Since Motsepe acquired the Brazilians 13 years ago, Mosimane has been the longest serving manager at Chloorkop under the success driven ownership of the billionaire.
The former Bafana Bafana coach who brought Masandawana their first ever CAF African Champions League title last season, also boasts the record of the current longest serving coach in the Premiership - having arrived in 2012.
"I have been privileged to work with some of the best people for many, many years," he told reporters at the Hyundai partnership launch.
"The same thing in football. When I bought Mamelodi Sundowns, the objective was to have a management and technical team that can be with the club for many years as possible, including when we aren’t doing well.
"I would like him to be the Alex Ferguson of Mamelodi Sundowns... Pitso, in South Africa, I'd like him to be the Alex Ferguson of South African football."
