Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe has called on Pitso Mosimane's men to conquer continental football by clinching the CAF Champions League title.
Sundowns marched to the final of the competition after a 3-2 aggregate win over Zesco United. The Brazilians reached the final of the competition for the first time since 2001, when they lost to Al Ahly.
Sundowns will face Zamalek, whom they have already beaten twice in the preliminary round this season, in the final.
"The most important thing is we still have a long way to go. It's correct to say Pitso did wonderful work," Motsepe told KickOff.
"The players have made all of us very proud but nobody remembers number two. Nobody remembers you were in the final. The most important thing is to motivate them."
"When you play in Africa it is a great honour to make a humble contribution towards showcasing and representing the country. We have won the league many times. The league is for the supporters but representing the country is a greater honour for all of us."
Sundowns will take on Wits in the MTN8 final at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, before the CAF final first-leg at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on 15 October.
