Motale: Bucs needed break

Cape Town - Legendary former Orlando Pirates captain Edward Motale believes the team will come back from the international break with renewed vigour.

Pirates have had a fixture heavy season which has included competing in domestic competition and the CAF Confederation Cup.

After their gruelling year, Pirates still have a chance of finishing the season with some silverware in the Nedbank Cup.

"I think Pirates needed this break more than any other team. They have been playing for almost a year without a proper rest and this came at a time when they needed it," Motale told Soccer Laduma.

"Now that they had a break they will bounce back strong and finish the season on a good note."

Pirates face Jomo Cosmos in the last-16 of the Nedbank Cup at Olen Park on Sunday.
