Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed that he enjoys being at the top of the Absa Premiership standings despite the added pressure.
The Brazilians are in first position and enjoy a four-point lead over second-place Kaizer Chiefs, and also have a game in hand over the Amakhosi.
Mosimane admits it's challenging to stay at the top of the pile, because everyone else wants you to fail, but insists he wouldn't want to swap places with anyone.
"It (being on top) is an advantage because you are on top and you have points. When you are on top everybody wants to shoot at you," said Mosimane, as quoted by Kickoff.
“Somewhere, somehow we have a feeling that when we play everybody wants us to drop points. (But) I would not want to be in another position. If you asked me would I like to swap positions? Would I rather be five points behind with 10 games to go or I’d like to have five points with 10 games to go? I want the five points, I would like to be where I am. How do I know those people will lose the next three or four games?
“Yes, the pressure is there [at the top], which is okay, but it’s in our hands. We don’t want favours, not now.”
