Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes the current team could be the best in the club's long prestigious history.
Sundowns booked their place in the CAF Champions League final after a 3-2 aggregate win over Zesco United.
The Brazilians will face Zamalek in the final after taking on Wits in the MTN8 final on Saturday.
Last season the club clinched the Premiership title with a record 71 points and also bagged the Telkom Knockout title.
"People have been saying this has been the best Sundowns ever. I said which one is the best Sundowns ever? Which one? The one that went to the finals? We are in the final now," Mosimane told KickOff.
"Did they get 71 points which is the best Sundowns ever now? That's the question. I think the story of the best Sundowns ever must be revisited now. I know you have had Feutmba and Chukwus but they never beat Chiefs. We beat Chiefs 3-1 in the final.
"It's good for the boys. It's good for history. It's good for Sundowns. I am happy to be part of the history at Sundowns."
The last time Sundowns reached the CAF final was in 2001 where they lost to Al Ahly.
