Mosimane offers encouragement to MDC winners

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane is hoping that some players from the club's MultiChoice Diski Challenge league winning team will make the step up to the first team.

The Sundowns reserve side, coached by David Notoane, were crowned MDC champions after beating Cape Town City 4-1 on Sunday.

Mosimane says he is pleased to see the club's development wing performing so well and hopes that this will ultimately provide him with more options for the first team.

"A big congratulations to coach Notoane and his charges for being crowned the MDC champions. We are extremely proud of them because this was the only missing piece of silverware locally in our development structures," Mosimane told the the club's website.

"Our U15s, U17s and U19s have all won major national and provincial trophies. All that was missing was the MDC title, which has been eluding us for some time now.

"In his first year in charge, Notoane has completed the circle and it only makes us extremely proud as a club.

"To the boys, I want to also express that we are looking forward to seeing some of them make the step up to the senior team."
