Mosadi ready for iKapa derby

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town winger Thabo Mosadi says he is keen to help his team put Cape Town City in their place as the iKapa derby looms in the Premiership.

Last season, the newly-formed Citizens - owned by former Urban Warriors chairman John Comitis - did the double over their local rivals with 1-0 and 2-0 scorelines respectively.

However, as their third encounter approaches at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, Mosadi is eager for Stanley Menzo's side to earn the bragging rights in the Mother City.

"I won't say it is about which is the bigger team but it's about two Cape Town sides that want to be the top dog," he told the SowetanLIVE website.

"It's going to tell us who is running the city. (The derby) is a big thing in Cape Town. The place is buzzing and people get excited over the game."

The 27-year-old has scored three goals and registered eight assists in 32 games since joining Ajax on a free transfer from Pretoria University last year.
