Morena spoke to his parents before signing 'Downs deal

Cape Town - New Mamelodi Sundowns winger Thapelo Morena expressed joy after completing his switch from Bloemfontein Celtic.

Morena has been linked with Sundowns for the past few months after some eye-catching performances at Siwelele last season.

The 23-year-old will add depth to the CAF Champions League chasing Brazilians, the the Pretoria club reportedly beating Soweto bigwigs Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs to his signature.

"It means a lot to me, it shows my hard work is paying off," Morena told KickOff.

"Football is something else. I sat down and spoke to my parents and my agent before deciding which team to join.

"I chose Sundowns because they have a lot of players that plays the kind of football that I prefer. I can say I chose to join Sundowns because of their style of play."

Having already qualified for the semi-finals, Sundowns will face Enyimba in their final group match of the CAF Champions League on August 23.
