Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon is not fazed by a rumoured loan spell in the National First Division, as he looks to fight for a place in the first team.
Mbombela United are believed to have shown interest in bringing the 20-year-old to the NFD club on loan for the new campaign.
Moon made a dream move to Naturena a year ago. After impressing in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge, he made a step up to Steve Komphela's side and scored one goal in six outings across all competitions.
"I've been notified by some of the people close to me about those rumours in the media linking me to NFD team," the youngster told Vodacom Soccer.
"Look, I still treat that as just rumours, because my team (Chiefs) has not yet told me anything regarding that reported NFD loan move.
"Like my fellow team-mates I'm still in my off-season break and will return to training at the end of this month to start pre-season training on June 29."
He added: "My first season at Chiefs has been an eye-opener to me in a short space of time. I have learnt a lot, and am still willing to learn more and grow as a professional soccer player.
"I made only six appearances in my debut season at the team and scored one goal, which came as a confidence booster to me.
"Despite my limited game time, coach Steve [Komphela] has always shown faith in me, and I'm more than determined to repay the faith he has shown in me, come next season."
