Monare hopes for Cosmos return

Cape Town - Thabang Monare insists he is still working hard on his fitness in an attempt to continue playing for Jomo Cosmos, despite being ousted by Jomo Sono last month.

The former FC AK midfielder fell out of favor with Sono for alleged displinary problems, and after a reported training ground bust-up with club captain Frederick Nsabiyumva, the Ezenkosi boss stated Monare never represent the club again.

Monare admits he's not happy with the decision and just wants to be playing football again after his agent met up with Sono to set a date with the club's disciplinary committee.

"I am still trying to push at the gym, but you know it’s different from training with the rest of the team,” the 26-year old told KickOff.

"Its frustrating. I miss the game. I want to go back and play football. I want to return to Cosmos. My representative has been in contact with the club and I should be going for DC soon.

"The date is yet to be confirmed."
