Moleko: We will rectify our mistakes

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs full-back Khotso Moleko has issued a rallying cry ahead of his side's crunch Absa Premiership clash with Platinum Stars on Wednesday evening.

Amakhosi will be aiming to banish all memories of their Nedbank Cup exit at the hands of Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates, while a win will also be vital to their hopes of reeling in league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns before the end of the campaign.

Moleko is confident the experience players in the squad will help Chiefs bounce back from Saturday's Cup exit.

"We have enough experience in the team to overcome Saturday's set-back quickly," Moleko told the club's website.

"We have to lift up and continue working hard.

"We had a chat about what happened on Saturday. We will rectify our mistakes and we will go into Wednesday's match with an open mind.

"We always respect our opponents. However, we need the points to keep within touching distance with the current log leaders."

Chiefs have received a welcome boost in the shape of the returning Lorenzo Gordinho, who is available for selection after serving a one-match suspension.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane, meanwhile, faces a late fitness test after missing the weekend's Soweto derby through injury.
