Mokoena braced for 'Downs exit

Cape Town - Interest in out-of-favour Mamelodi Sundowns winger Lebohang Mokoena is increasing as the close of the January transfer window looms nearer.

The former Orlando Pirates star is looking for a move away from Sundowns in search of regular game time, as he's failed to play in a single official game under coach Pitso Mosimane so far this season.

It is understood that Sundowns are willing to enter negotiations with potential suitors about an exit for Mokoena, who is currently in the last six months of his contract.

In recent times, Mokoena has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, but, the latest news indicates that Bloemfontein Celtic, Maritzburg United and Platinum Stars have all joined the race for his signature.
