Modise revels in 'highlight of career'

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise has revealed that the last few seasons under coach Pitso Mosimane have been the highlight of his career.

Modise had to wait late in his career to win silverware after the Premiership triumph in 2014 with Sundowns.

Since the ending of that drought, Modise went on to win the Nedbank Cup, Telkom Knockout and Premiership title last season.

"I think the last four years have been the best of my career - I've achieved a lot," Modise told KickOff.

"I can't complain, I've won four trophies. The only trophy I haven't won is the MTN8 - hopefully I will win it.

"If you asked me five years ago [if this was the best move of my career], I would have said no - nobody knew what was going to happen. I took a chance with Sundowns and they also took a chance with me and it worked out.

"I'm grateful that I'm here. Let's hope with the remaining seasons in my career I will still be able to progress in whatever they [the club] want to progress in."
