Mobara 'trying to achieve bigger things'

Cape Town - New Orlando Pirates defender Abbubaker Mobara has high ambitions for his career after leaving Ajax Cape Town.

The 22-year-old is part of the group that will represent South Africa at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in August.

With things moving fast in his career, Mobara says the recent events have not yet hit him.

"I'm trying to achieve bigger things in life," Mobara told KickOff.

"I'm not saying Pirates is not a big team, it's quite an enormous team, with a good history, but I don't think really it's a big step in my life.

"Maybe Rio...I'm not really excited. I don't know maybe when the excitement will come in, probably when I'm on my way to Rio."
