Mobara to be used in midfield, says Ertugral

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Muhsin Ertugral intends to convert Abbubaker Mobara from defender to midfielder in the upcoming season.

Mobara was poached from Ajax Cape Town together with Riyaad Norodien by the Buccaneers.

The 22-year-old is currently with the South Africa under-23 national team set to compete at the Rio Olympic Games starting on Wednesday.

The versatile footballer missed the 2-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

"Mobara was unveiled at Ajax by me in the midfield. He had been long years - around 10 years - in their youth development," Ertugral as quoted by the Times Live.

"In midfield he can win balls a lot without getting into one on one situations. He's very clever and anticipates very well.

"And I think it will be very vital for us to have someone like that in our midfield."
