Cape Town - Bidvest Wits defender Buhle Mkhwanazi insists that his team is not intimidated by their opening games of the season against Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The university club will take on Chiefs at the Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday and will face Pirates in the MTN8 quarter-final on Saturday.
Mkhwanazi believes his team has proven that they are among the top teams in the Premiership after finishing runner-up to champions Mamelodi Sundowns last season.
"I would not say those games are tough. Chiefs, Pirates, Sundowns and Wits can be grouped into one. You can put Wits with whoever is big in the league. There's quality in all these teams," Mkhwanazi told the Sowetan Live.
"So for us those games will be ordinary games, like playing Baroka or Golden Arrows. It's important to get a result against Chiefs to carry us through the season.
"Sundowns did well last season, but it's a new beginning for every club. We've made a lot of quality signings in crucial positions. I believe we have a well balanced team."
