Mkhalele: Masango's not good enough for Bucs

Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates star Helman Mkhalele believes Mandla Masango isn't the right calibre of player to excel for the Sea Robbers.

Masango is currently on the books of Denmark's Randers but has been sidelined in recent weeks after a fall-out with the club for blocking a move to fellow Danish outfit Aalborg.

The player has been linked with a possible switch to Pirates as well as Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport in the New Year.

However, Mkhalele takes the view that this would not be a good option for the Augusto Palacios-coached outfit.

"With Pirates many players that want to play for the club needs to live up to the demands of the team. If they live up to the demands of the team, they will make it with no problems," he told Goal.com website.

"Mandla is a good player but I don't think that he will make the impact that matches the demands of this club.

"I am not quite sure that he can reach that success at Pirates because if you look at international players who move from one club to another, they go on and make an instant impact."
