Cape Town - Ernst Middendorp believes forward Evans Rusike has been mismanaged in the past and has tipped him for a big future at Maritzburg United.
The Zimbabwean forward has struggled for consistency since joining The Team of Choice from Hwange FC last year, scoring just five goals this season.
However, the former Kaizer Chiefs boss says he's seen the potential the 25-year-old possesses, and remains confident he can bring the best out of the lanky forward.
"I saw him in training for two or three days. For me it was very clear that he was a man that has to be given the entire confidence, and support," the German told the clubs official website.
"He was here for a long time, and he didn't probably didn't received the certain support. It's always about assessing and identifying what's possible.
"It's normal, it's nothing. I hear other coaches are getting angry. But I see stuff different.
"If I see Evans being available in this position, and getting the support, I think he's giving it all, and shows what type of striker he is – one of the most qualified in the league, there is no doubt about that."
