Micho wants more goals from goal-shy Pirates

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic wants his team to kill off games by scoring more goals after beating Golden Arrows 1-0 in the Telkom Knockout Round of 16.

The Buccaneers progressed to the TKO last eight after beating Golden Arrows on Saturday. In fact, all four of the Sea Robbers' victories in league and cup this season have been by 1-0 margins.

And although Bucs occupy third spot on the league table, Sredojevic understands that his team needs to become more deadly in the opposition box.

"Yes, we won the game, but it is a worrying factor (not being able to score more goals to kill a match off), and I accept that. We are having that problem after scoring one goal. We always fail to score the second goal," said the Serbian.

"We are always hoping that the floodgates will open, but unfortunately, we don't succeed to achieve that. This is worrying, that factor that we need to work on," he added.

Sredojevic and his men now switch their focus to Wednesday's enticing league showdown with African champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kick off is at 19:30.
