Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says he will do everything in his power to turn the club into a force again, after a recent lack of success on all levels.
The Buccaneers struggled to find any form last season and finished outside the Premiership top eight for the first time in the PSL era.
Sredojevic recently came on board to fill the void left by Kjell Jonevret, who failed to live up to the mandate during his brief stint in charge of the Soweto giants.
'Micho' told Soccer Laduma website: "The message to the supporters is very simple from my side. You have been the spiritual owners of this great club for the last 80 years.
"I'm fully aware of that because I meet you day in and day out wherever I go. I feel extremely responsible to give my best in every situation for you. As the driving force behind the club, you make me and you make us at the club push to our utmost limits to deliver for you. You have the right to expect this from us.
"I wake up every day with the sole purpose of adding something new and better to this great club. When I lay my head down at night, I assess if that has been achieved and how the next day I can improve on that again. I want to make Orlando Pirates smile again. Together, we will achieve that."
The Buccaneers return to action next month on Tuesday, September 12 against Ajax Cape Town in a Premiership clash.
Kick off is at 19:30.
