The Buccaneers went down 2-0 to Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium last time out, while Ea Lla Koto held Amakhosi to a thrilling 2-2 draw on Wednesday.
Following their impressive run in the competition, however, eliminating both Kaizer Chiefs and league champions Mamelodi Sundowns, Memela believes his side should be clear favourites to claim the last trophy on offer this season.
"It is very important for us to win the game, although recently we haven’t been getting the results," Memela told Goal.
"The loss to Chippa doesn’t affect us going into the game because we take each game as it comes.
"For us, it would be a disappointment after beating both Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs in the cup to go out to Free State Stars with all due respect but I don’t think it will get to that.
"I believe that we will go through and win the cup.
"What has happened in the past results is that each and every game we have lost is not because of the other team but it has been our fault we lost those games," Memela concluded.
