Cape Town - Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy says he is excited about the prospect of Aubrey Ngoma's return to action after the goal-scoring winger recovered from a serious knee injury he picked up for Bafana Bafana on international duty.
The 28-year-old is available for selection for Tuesday's top-of-the-table Premiership clash with Baroka at the Cape Town Stadium in the Mother City.
Currently, the Citizens are in third position behind leaders Bakgaga and Golden Arrows in second spot. A victory for City could see them move into first place and McCarthy says Ngoma could play some part.
He told reporters ahead of the game; "Aubrey is upbeat, he and I had a conversation where he said to me, 'I'm in the mood coach, I'm hungry', and that's what I wanted to hear.
"He is looking good and has his hunger back. It will be a fantastic boost for the club, it's like signing a new player."
Last season the player scored seven goals and contributed 16 assists as the team went on to win the Telkom Knockout under former coach Eric Tinkler.
