Mbesuma: Title race not over yet

Cape Town - Mpumulanga Black Aces captain Collins Mbesuma insists the title race is far from over despite his side trailing Mamelodi Sundowns by nine points.

Aces have stumbled in recent weeks with only one win from five but the Zambian international admits the squad is still hungry for success and willing to fight till the end of the campaign.

"Why not? I believe in God, and with God nothing is impossible," the 32-year old told KickOff.

"Why can't we win it? It is just about us believing that we can make it happen. The coach [Muhsin Ertugral] has told us that we have to believe - it is now up to us to embrace his encouragement.

"Even the younger players' hunger is improving because they feel they are part of a family with a good father."

Mbesuma who currently leads the goal scoring charts in the Premiership will be looking to add to his 11 league goals this season as he chases his second Golden Boot award.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
