Mathoho wary of bullish Chippa

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho says his team cannot afford to take high-flying Chippa United for granted in their final league clash on Saturday.

The Chilli Boys are fresh off a 2-0 victory over Chiefs' arch-rivals, Orlando Pirates, in their last league outing at the Nelson Mandela Bay last week. While Amakhosi are hoping to close their barren campaign on a positive note.

"Every team brings their A-game when they play against Kaizer Chiefs," Mathoho told his club's official website.

"Our preparations are going smoothly so far. Chippa is coming to us at the back of a good win against Orlando Pirates. Their confidence must be sky high at the moment, but they visit us at the wrong time, as we want to finish the season on a high.

"There’s no team that wants to finish the league season with a loss. The Bafana Bafana centre-back also thanked the club's fans for their unceasing support throughout the season.

"Even though we didn't collect any silverware this season, we received amazing support this season," he added.

"We want to thank our supporters with a win on Saturday."
