Masilela: We are not in a good position

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs left-back Tsepo Masilela believes their season is not yet over and urged his team-mates to keep the focus and continue fighting as a unit.

The former Maccabi Haifa defender admits that Amakhosi have not had the best of campaigns, after losing out in all Cup competitions on offer this season.

Going down to arch rivals Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium last week was their latest Cup exit during the Nedbank Cup Last-32.

The Soweto giants have suffered three consecutive defeats in their last three games, including a 1-0 home loss to Ivorian champions ASEC Mimosas in the African Champions League first round, which halted their only chance of winning some silverware this season.

They welcome Jomo Cosmos to FNB Stadium in an Absa Premiership clash on Tuesday, and Masilela insists the encounter with Ezenkosi will be a perfect opportunity for the team to get back to winning ways.

"We are not going to lie," Masilela told reporters ahead of the Cosmos match. "We are not in a good position.

"We are not saying Sundowns will hit a rough patch, but we should try turn things around for ourselves.

"At this stage of the season every team is dangerous."
