Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos striker Chartlon Mashumba is enjoying doing what he is supposed to be doing; getting the goals to help Ezenkosi win matches.
Cosmos have had a slow start to the season after their promotion from the second tier and had been hovering above the drop zone after only one win and four goals in their opening 10 matches.
But it all came right in front of goal for Ezenkosi in their 11th league outing of the campaign as they put four first-half goals past Chippa United to win 4-3 at Olen Park on Sunday.
Mashumba opened the scoring with his second goal in successive matches and his third of the season, and was delighted with his contribution.
"Now I am feeling like an asset to the team," said the Zimbabwean.
"At last I am helping the team to achieve and move away from the bottom of the table.
"It was only a matter of time before we got things right. It is difficult in a new league against experienced players."
Cosmos coach Jomo Sono, meanwhile, claimed that he knew his team were due a big performance.
"It is about time. But we knew it was coming because we have been creating a lot of chances but not been scoring," said Sono.
"Even in the second half we were creating chances but were not scoring. We have been playing like this the whole season."
