Masango credits Baxter for impressive display

Pretoria - Following their emphatic 4-1 victory over Maritzburg United, SuperSport United winger Mandla Masango believes that Matsatsantsa were deserved winners.

Matsatsantsa humbled the Team of Choice in their Absa Premiership clash played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.

Kingston Nkhatha, Jeremy Brockie and a brace from Masango sealed victory for Stuart Baxter's troops.

Masango extended his praises to Baxter and the technical team for believing in him and the team.

"It's all because of team efforts and we were deservedly winners," said Masango.

"It's not only about my ability, the coach has faith in me and my team-mates as well.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity they gave me to showcase my talent.

"It was a much better second half for us after we gave them an early lead and everyone within the team can score at any given time."

Matsatsantsa will travel to the Makhulong stadium to face a struggling Highlands Park in their next league encounter on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 20:15.
