Cape Town - Lehlohonolo Masalesa has returned to the Premiership after Platinum Stars re-signed the former Larissa midfielder on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old, who captained Bafana Bafana at the recent COSAFA Cup, began his career with Dikwena in 2009 before moving to Bidvest Wits the following season.
Masalesa went on to make a name for himself at Orlando Pirates, but he fell out of favour at Naturena last term and was released from his contract in order to sign for the Greek club in December.
However, the South Africa international has opted to end his short stint in Europe by accepting an offer from Stars to ply his trade on the local scene once more, putting put to paper on a three-year contract.
The Rustenburg outfit confirmed the deal on Twitter, saying: "Platinum Stars FC can confirm the acquisition of South African international Lehlohonolo Masalesa."
