Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes new arrivals Oupa Manyisa and George Lebese are ideal replacements for Teko Modise and Keagan Dolly respectively.
Modise left Sundowns for Cape Town City after last season, while Dolly departed midway through the 2016/17 campaign for Ligue 1 club Montpellier.
Lebese and Manyisa, who arrived recently from Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates respectively, made their debuts off the bench for Sundowns on Sunday in a 0-1 defeat to Maritzburg United in the MTN8.
Although they were unable to help the African champions turn the game around, Mosimane feels they will be valuable additions to the 2015/16 PSL league champions.
"They just fit like a hand in the glove, that's why I signed these players, that's why we opted for these players because you don't sign just to sign, you have to sign in specific positions," the former Bafana Bafana boss was quoted as saying by KickOff website.
"Oupa came in as replacement for Teko (Modise). We need that kind of creativity. He played very well.
"He and (Hlompho) Kekana are deadly there. He has got a good shot and I think if the ball didn't deflect a bit, we could be telling a different story. George plays on the left, the way we play. He fits in very well, he replaces Keagan."
