Manyama expects wounded Pirates to be dangerous

Cape Town - Cape Town City captain Lebogang Manyama is wary of Orlando Pirates following their humiliating defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Buccaneers suffered a 6-0 drubbing at Loftus Versfeld in a match where disgruntled fans rushed to the field in anger.

Meanwhile, the Citizens brushed aside Ajax Cape Town 2-0 at Cape Town Stadium in a Cape derby clash.

The Buccaneers will turn their focus to City on Saturday, February 18 in hope of reviving their PSL title chances.

Manyama does not believes that playing Pirates at this stage will do them any luck.

“Many people say it is probably the best time to play Pirates but I beg to differ with that‚” Manyama said.

“After what happened over the weekend they will be a very dangerous side to face‚” he said.

“We have to give them the respect they deserve and we have to be very careful of them.

“It is very dangerous to play them when they are in such a state and it won’t be easy.

“I prefer to play them when they come from a few wins.”

Kick off is at 20:15.
