Maluleka wary of 'Downs threat

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfield ace George Maluleka concedes that Mamelodi Sundowns' form has been superior to Amakhosi's ahead of the Telkom Knockout final.

The two Absa Premiership juggernauts will face off in the final of the cup competition at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on December 16 after the conclusion of the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations.

While Sundowns are unbeaten in their last 10 games in all competitions, Chiefs form has been far less consistent of late, but Maluleka insists the trophy is there for the taking despite Sundowns' seemingly holding the advantage.

"It's true Sundowns are scary but they are beatable," Maluleka told Soccer Laduma.

"This is one cup final that we want to win. You know in a cup final most of the time the last form or results do not count.

"We are playing in Durban where we have done very well and we hope things work well for us and we win the trophy."
