Maluleka set for new Chiefs deal?

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka is set to sign a new contract with the Soweto giants.

According to Soccer Laduma, the former Ajax Cape Town midfielder is in the last six months of his contract with Amakhosi.

With being in the last few months of his contract, Maluleka is free to open talks with any other club.

However, the 27-year-old has been an integral part of the Glamour Boys set up under Steve Komphela and it is expected that the club will off the player an improved contract.

Maluleka switched allegiance from Pretoria’s SuperSport United to Naturena and has netted nine goals for Chiefs since then.

Meanwhile, Maluleka and the rest of the Chiefs players will be hoping to remain in good shape when the Premiership returns early next month.

Chiefs return to action on Tuesday, February 7 against Free State Stars.

Kick off is at 19:00.
