Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka believes Steve Komphela's tactical thinking saw them through as they beat SuperSport United 2-1 on Saturday evening.
Amakhosi got one over former boss Stuart Baxter, who took over at Matsatsantsa earlier this month, as goals from Maluleka and new signing William Twala rendered Jeremy Brockie's equaliser inconsequential.
Speaking after the result, which took Chiefs up to third in the standings, a clearly delighted Maluleka told SuperSport: "It's a good feeling to always be on the score sheet, and we managed to get a positive result so we're very happy about that."
"It was high-intensity from the first whistle; it was very tactical and we tried to manage the game according to the coach's instructions at half-time, and I think we executed that very well.
"By getting the second goal in the dying minutes, I think that also helped us a lot."
