Malesela to assist Sikhakhane

Cape Town - Chippa United have confirmed that the appointment of Dan Malesela as an assistant to head coach Roger Sikhakhane for the remainder for the Premiership season.

Malesela, who previously played for Kaizer Chiefs and Supersport United, recently quit his role as manager of National First Division outfit Cape Town All Stars, having guided them to second in the league table.

Chippa, who are eighth in the Premiership standings after 11 games, have also confirmed that Floyd Mogale, who was the previous assistant, has been redeployed and put in charge of the side's Multichoice Diski Challenge team.

The Port Elizabeth-based side, who flirted with relegation last season, has been keen to bolster their technical team this season and Malesela fits the bill.

Chippa United's next match will be at home against Bloemfontein Celtic on December 18.
