Cape Town - Phakamani Mahlambi wants to build on a promising debut season in the PSL and is hoping to be Bidvest Wits' top goal-scorer, while also targeting an overseas move.
The 18-year-old marksman made a big impact on the league last season, bursting onto the scene with some scintillating performances and some outstanding goals.
He also shone for the South African U-23 side and has been marked down as a star of the future.
However, injuries meant he was not able to contribute as much as he may have, the player still sidelined for another three or so months with a knee problem.
Mahlambi is remaining upbeat despite having to miss the start of the 2016/ 17 campaign, and plans to hit the ground running as soon as he recovers.
"Next season I am aiming high, so when I come back I will do my best," he told Sowetan Live.
"I want to win the top scorer award and I want to get more awards, so that I get more chances to go overseas."
