Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lebohang Maboe has explained that hard work has helped him fit in so quickly at the club, after his move from Maritzburg United.
Maboe, who is in the Bafana Bafana squad for the games against Nigeria and Paraguay, has adjusted to life extremely quickly with the Brazilians.
It was thought in some quarters the forward may struggle in a star-studded Sundowns outfit after leaving the Team of Choice for Chloorkop in August, however, he has featured in every single game in 2018/19.
The 24-year-old told reporters: "I was expecting it actually, knowing the fact that I am working hard on and off the field, so it's something that I expected. I was just waiting for that one opportunity and when I got it I did not disappoint.
"It's [about] believing in your ability and believing how good you are that keeps you on the field, and keeps the coach believing. I believe in myself and that's why I am playing.
Adding of the improvements he is seeking in his game, the young star concluded: "I need to be clinical in front of goals and make the right decisions in the final third."
Maboe has two goals and two assists for the Pitso Mosimane-coached team this season and will no doubt be hoping to add more in the future.
