Mabena, Mzimela to play despite accident

Cape Town - Ndumiso Mabena and Mbongeni Mzimela have emerged unscathed from a motor vehicle accident and will be available to play against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday.

Soccer Laduma reported that the pair, together with goalkeeper coach Stephan Ekakala, were in an accident on Saturday night which saw both cars written off.

While Ekakala is reportedly doing well after being rushed to hospital, both Mabena and Mzimela were unhurt and will be able to play in Stars' match against Celtic in Rustenburg on Wednesday.

Mabena is Dikwena's leading scorer, with 10 goals in 23 league games, while Mzimela has featured in goal for 19 of Stars' 28 league matches this season.
