Lorch to undergo surgery

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates winger Thembinkosi Lorch will miss the remaining games of the season as he is due to undergo surgery.

According to the club's official website, Lorch sustained a shoulder injury in the goalless draw against Highlands Park last month will go under the knife to repair a joint capsule and ligaments injury.

Meanwhile, the Bucs medical team has cleared goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane to resume training with the rest of the team after recovering from his injury.

The 31-year old looks set to miss out the Absa Premiership clash against Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday evening.

Kick off is at 19:30.
