Cape Town - Free State Stars manager Serame Letsoaka lavished praise for his players execution of their match tactics before predicting his side's Premiership survival, after the 3-1 win over Wits.
Ea Lla Koto produced a thoroughly professional display against the league leaders at Goble Park on Wednesday evening to move four points clear of last placed Highlands Park and into 13th spot above Chippa United.
After the game, the former Bloemfontein Celtic coach revelled in the display and mentioned how their pre-game preparations targeted the heavy legs of the Students who've played four games in the past 10 days.
"We had a plan coming into this game and today the plan did work," Letsoaka said. "We were well aware of the fact that they had been playing too many games in recent times.
"We knew that fatigue would come in a bit and we played a counter-attack, I think it worked very well for us. The counters that we did were very effective.
"They were strong in certain areas periodically, but the boys handled the pressure and I'm happy that we have three points today, it eases a little bit of pressure on the position that we are in at the moment.
"If these boys can play the next two games like we did today it tells you that we are not even going to smell relegation.
"The fight you saw today (against Wits) was a fight of people who are in dire need of making sure they continue to have their jobs at Free State Stars."
