Letsoaka not giving up

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic coach Serame Letsoaka has refused to lose hope following the 2-1 loss against Free State Stars in the Premiership on Sunday.

The struggling Celtic have now lost four consecutive games and are only five points ahead of teams in the relegation zone.

Stars won the local derby courtesy of a brace from Sello Japhta while Fiston Razak pulled one back via the penalty spot.

"Stars started very well, but I think we gained momentum after scoring the equaliser," Letsoaka told SuperSport.

"But in the second-half we were camping in their half, and the chances that again we continue to miss are a big concern for all of us.

"The eleven players definitely gave their all. It could be mistakes here and there, closing the striker going through in the defensive area, but I can say that everyone gave their best in the game here.

"We will continue to work as hard as we can, and we will continue to do that - we aren't giving up now."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
