Lekoelea banking on Pirates success

Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Steve Lekoelea has backed coach Muhsin Ertugral to guide the club to silverware despite their elimination from the MTN8.

The Buccaneers were dumped out of the competition after a 2-1 loss to Wits in the quarterfinal last week.

During the transfer window, Pirates reinforced the squad with the addition of Abbubaker Mobara, Riyaad Norodien and Thabiso Kutumela.

"Pirates have enough players at the moment. I think they have enough players at the back," Lekoelea told Soccer Laduma.

"There are some players that have been on the bench that deserve to play as well. So, (Patrick) Phungwayo and (Rooi) Mahamutsa must play at the back, because they're good players."
