Lebese must 'learn to deliver and be consistent'

Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Robson Muchichwa has urged George Lebese to play a more leading role in the team in the upcoming season.

Lebese showed glimpses of good form in the early stages of last season, but was less than influential for the rest of the season.

Chiefs will be aiming to bounce back strongly this term after losing the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout finals, and finishing fifth in the Premiership.

"I think for me he needs to learn to deliver and be consistent. Not to say today you playing well, tomorrow you are off," Muchichwa told KickOff.

"For me he needs to learn to be consistent and if he becomes consistent in terms of performing, improving his performance day in and day out, I think he can do well.

"When he's on form you could clearly see things do happen and Chiefs score goals. But I don't know what happens sometimes.

"We need to know that on the left wing we have George Lebese. If Kaizer Chiefs is playing now you don't know who's going to play on the left, is George there or not there? So he need to be consistent."
